Magnificent oil painting on panel by Vincent Cermigiani, a painter born in Italy in 1902 and died in 1971 who painted a lot of coastal landscapes and particularly the south of France.
This painting represents the rue de la Providence in Nice.
It was painted in 1933.

Franck Duminil (1933-2014) - Untitled/ Abstract composition
Magnificent oil on canvas "abstract composition" by Franck DUMINIL (1933-2014. Perfect condition, never framed. Signed lower center and on the back.
Franck Duminil, a painter on the Akoun side in particular, is one of the greatest lyrical abstractionists of our time, he has exhibited throughout the world. He is not an “abstract” painter in the common sense of the term. Abstraction, for him, is a primordial journey towards the essential, where form does not yet exist. His paintings are the place where all possibilities emerge. A few traces and the original glow of blue, yellow or red emerge from the night or dawn. It goes beyond spatial and temporal characteristics to let us glimpse the undifferentiated basis of things. This “informal”, this dive into the indefinite is the very substance of his work.
